The ball screw pair ingeniously incorporates a strategic number of rolling elements positioned between the screw and the nut's groove, serving as an intermediate transmission medium. Leveraging the ball return device, this assembly constitutes an efficient screw drive mechanism where the balls circulate endlessly in a closed loop, as illustrated in the subsequent figure. When either the screw or nut rotates, the ball is propelled, initiating a continuous cyclic motion of the ball chain within the closed circuit.
